AIR OPERATIONS
DEFINITION:
Air operations engineering is a field that focuses on the management and optimization of flight operations, with an emphasis on safety, efficiency, reliability, and cost-effectiveness.
The Flight Operations Engineer analyses flight and flight safety data to identify trends, alerts, and weak signals. He proposes actions and contributes to the safety and optimization of aircraft operations. As the primary technical contact for customers and guarantor of their satisfaction, the flight operations engineer pilots and carries out operational engineering and consulting tasks.
STRATEGIC VISION:
Areas of research in air operations engineering may include:
Air traffic management: Air operations engineers study air traffic management systems and develop methods to optimize the use of airspace while ensuring safe flight.
Ground Operations Management: Air operations engineers also focus on ground operations management, including airport planning and management, baggage management and aircraft loading.
Aviation Safety: Air operations engineers work on strategies to improve aviation safety, including developing collision avoidance systems and improving aircraft maintenance.
Data management: Air operations engineers analyze data from sources such as aircraft, radar, and weather stations to understand flight operations performance and to develop optimization strategies.
MAIN MISSIONS:
Carries out operational studies (fuel, weight and balance, performance, etc.)
Assists in the implementation and monitoring of fuel-saving programs for customers
Defines, writes, and updates operating, training, and flight crew manuals
Writes operating procedures or instructions
Ensures a regulatory watch
Provide expertise to various departments (flight tests, design office)
Ensures customer satisfaction and a good understanding of standards
Ensures that the manuals comply with the aircraft's configuration before and after its delivery.
