DEFINITION:

Avionics is a word derived from the combination of the words aviation + electronics and means the application of electronic techniques in the field of aviation.

Avionics represents all the electronic, electrical and computer equipment necessary for the operation of an aircraft.

STRATEGIC VISION:

Avionics engineering is an advanced field that studies the electronic systems used in modern aircraft. Avionics systems include autopilot, navigation, communications, and flight instruments.

The scope of Avionics not only encompasses the electronic systems installed on all Aerospace Vehicles, be it aircraft or spacecraft, but also ground based surveillance and support systems.

MISSION OF IMPLEMENTATION:

Goal of Avionic systems are:

  • increased safety;

  • air traffic control requirements;

  • all weather operation;

  • Reduction in fuel consumption;

  • Improved aircraft performance and control;

  • handling and reduction of maintenance costs.

This course is designed to train specialists who can take on functions such as avionics design offices, research and development as well as aeronautical design engineers in air transport companies and maintenance centers.

This course brings together, the scientific and technical bases necessary for the integration of graduates in the industries of the aeronautics and space sector both in Algeria and abroad.
